2000 Ocean

2000 Ocean, developed by KAR Properties and designed by TEN Arquitectos, and Minotti is a private community of 64 boutique oceanfront residences North of South Florida’s Golden Beach.

In partnership with the Minotti Interior Design Series for 2000 Ocean, Tamara was selected to design a concept residence. From the initial layout, consideration was paid in creating depth of character quintessential to this already renowned property.

Layers of textures and architectural details were part of Tamara’s vision, taking influence from her experience with Asian architecture and love of artistic details. An anchoring feature of the concept is the millwork design. Tamara incorporated French oak ceiling beams with indirect lighting that continue down to dress the main architectural column with elegance and movement. Tamara chose white oak millwork featuring a repetition of vertical lines as a creative way to conceal hallway doors and the kitchen.

Minotti furnishings were curated for their organic elegance. An L-shaped sofa with a modular table adds function for entertaining. Meanwhile, the dining table alongside a red sculptural piece by Antony Gormley adds a bold pop of color. The overall palette is neutral with green hues tying into natural tones. The master suite is best described as minimalist with a chic twist. One finds an unexpected combination of a vertical leather padded headboard and limestone marble slab with horizontal lines. Two lounges at the foot of the bed celebrate relaxation.

From initial layout design to fixtures and finishes, Tamara and her team paid careful consideration to creating a depth and character true to 2000 Ocean, evoking a strong sense of sophistication and place for their future residents.
